It’s been two years now since I came in contact with Joshua Media Ministries International and Apostle David E. Taylor. For at least the last year, I’ve been hinting at my involvement with this ministry on my blogs but now this is the time to give my official intro. Included here is how I became part of the JMMI staff and my first-hand experiences with the ministry, teaching and miracles.
For those unfamiliar with this global kingdom ministry and movement, now is your chance to find out more.
Initial Contact: Surprise Message Foreseen in a Dream
Around February 11, 2015, I had a dream where I was standing in a parking lot in the middle of a very bright sunny day getting a text message from a sender whose name was not visible on my phone. About two weeks after that, I received a private Facebook message from someone at JMMI. In that message was a short note to me, a link to a Sid Roth interview with David E. Taylor and a phone number to call the ministry.
The odd thing about this was, at that time, I had my Facebook account locked down so you could not find me if you wanted to. With my curiosity meter pegged at full, I called in wondering what this unusual message was all about. I was connected to a young guy who I spoke with for about 40 minutes and he called out several very accurate words of knowledge about myself and my family. A few days after this, I began to realize this phone call was exactly what I had seen in the dream.
Initial Learning Curve
My initial period of orientation to JMMI brought many unexpected challenges to much of what I had come to believe in my four decades of church. One of my most overwhelming lessons was the astonishing extent that “religion” had influenced my beliefs. Only three years before, I had become a Pentecostal and thought I had made a huge amount of progress in a short period of time. But, during those years, an increasingly nagging question was arising in my mind over the truth of what Jesus was really like in person.
I had started to realize that just reading the gospels left a lot to the imagination. Many of the preachers I had been following contradicted each other on how they portrayed Jesus. I began to get the feeling that everyone was preaching according to their own personal biases, not according to a true first-hand knowledge of Jesus. And that is what I believe God was using to get me positioned for what I would learn at JMMI.
Kingdom, Not Church
One of the most prominent aspects of JMMI is that it is neither a church nor a para-church ministry. It is a fully operational kingdom ministry as well as a Joel 2 army. If you’re thinking kingdom and church are the same thing – that is not correct (see Kings and Kingdoms: Our First Calling). Once you understand that, everything you will observe at JMMI will start to make more sense.
If you are a “foreigner” to true kingdom teaching as I was, JMMI will very likely defy everything you have become familiar with in typical churches. As a result, several aspects will require a very big readjustment if you have allowed traditional church to create strongholds in your belief system. This is what happened to me right from the beginning – it was a huge culture shock.
Face to Face Appearances are Biblical
Before I became acquainted with JMMI, I never had any problem believing in face to face appearances of Jesus in dreams or visions. Why? Because, I had already been hearing many testimonies of how this was happening in the Middle East to Muslims. I even heard these being reported by “Christians” who did not believe in anything supernatural! So this was already a settled truth in my mind.
What I did not know at first was that the Bible actually states very clearly that Jesus and God can both appear to you. Just like anything else in the supernatural realm, I believe strongly in finding the justification somewhere in the Bible for anything out of the ordinary. As it turns out, there are three passages in the New Testament that clearly state that Jesus and God can and will appear to you.
I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
(John 14:18 NKJV)
He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
(John 14:21 NKJV)
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
(John 14:23 NKJV)
We also see all throughout the Old Testament that God and Jesus both appeared to the Israelites and the prophets.
- Both Daniel and Ezekiel saw God (Daniel 7:9, 13, 22 and Ezekiel 1, 2, 3).
- Daniel’s three friends and a pagan king, Nebuchadnezzar, saw Jesus in the fiery furnace (Daniel 3:24-25).
- Jacob and Joshua both encountered Jesus face to face (Genesis 32:24-30 and Joshua 5:13-14).
- The Israelites, Pharaoh and the Egyptian Army all saw God appear in a cloud (Exodus 14).
John saw the Holy Spirit physically descend at Jesus’ baptism like a dove (John 1:32). This was a literal appearance of the Holy Spirit in physical form (Psalm 91:4, Psalm 36:7, Psalm 63:7). Note the common error: it does notsay a dove landed on Jesus!
These are just a few passages where we see proof that it is not uncommon nor unbiblical for God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit to all make personal appearances.
Testimonies and Experiences with Encounters
Since becoming acquainted with JMMI, I’ve met several members of the staff and others who have had personal visitations by Jesus in dreams or visions. In each case, it was very obvious that these testimonies were real and there was consistency throughout what each person described. No contradictions existed!
A list of personal accounts of visitations by Jesus in dreams and visions is too long for this article so I will be including that in the future. In the meantime, I recommend going directly to the JMMI website or alternatively to CBN News or Faithwire where you can read all the stories that keep coming in of Jesus appearing in dreams to people everywhere.
If you would like to learn more about how you can receive a personal visitation and why you need to understand the significance of these, see the bottom of this article for my resource recommendations. I guarantee you will discover surprising insights about Jesus that you never knew and the entire Bible will make a lot more sense as a result.
1,000 Visitations and High-Level Revelation
One thing you will hear relatively quickly from David E. Taylor is that he has had at least 1,000 visitations by God and Jesus. This is something that no one on the staff disputes. Obviously, this sounds hard to believe for the average person because most have never even heard of anyone seeing Jesus even once in a dream, let alone 1,000 times. So what – just because you’ve never heard of this is not a reason to throw it out! Remember the Pharisees.
He who answers a matter before he hears it, It is folly and shame to him.
(Proverbs 18:13 NKJV)
The more I’ve learned about David E. Taylor and listened to his teaching, the more it’s become clear this unusual claim is absolutely true. The level of teaching and insight found here is completely unparalleled anywhere else.
I have listened to many hours of Apostle Taylor’s teaching myself and in comparison to all other teachers that I have listened to, no one else has revelation of this type – there is no question this type can only come directly from God and Jesus in a visitation.
These are just a few of the many insights I have received…
- How to receive continuous personal visitations by Jesus and God.
- The differences in personality and operation of each of the three persons of God.
- Three different forms of power that come from each (kratos, exousia, dunamis).
- The differences between operating in the office of a king versus a priest.
- Observed the effects of the full kingdom in operation where regional principalities are taken down with evidence in the news of sex trafficking and drug rings broken up within days or weeks of a declaration spoken.
- The missing piece of the end times movement and the mystery of the rapture – given directly from visitations.
One of the most remarkable aspects of JMMI is their 24-hour staff. Right from day one, I was amazed with their understanding, maturity and spiritual gifts. Because of a very rough life transition I was thrown into at the time of my first contact with JMMI, I made good use of their staff with several rather long phone calls. There were very few other ministries I felt like I could call in the same way I did with JMMI.
The men and women who work there come from a variety of backgrounds and include both full-time and part-time. Some of them come to the staff because Jesus appeared in a dream, others come because they want to be involved to a greater degree with this work.
What you will find when you call is…many of the staff have a solid track record of accurate words of knowledge and healing and financial miracles from prayer over the phone. The list of miracle testimonies that come in regularly from phone calls is remarkable. In cases where those following my blog have taken my advice and contacted JMMI, I have seen the evidence of their lives begin to change in ways that did not happen before.
Another unusual aspect of JMMI is that it is one of the few ministries that will provide free dream interpretation either online or by phone. This was one of the first opportunities I took advantage of myself. Shortly after being connected in 2015, I sent in three dreams using the JMMI online contact form and I received a phone call by one of the ministry staff who gave me help with the interpretations.
In January 2016, I was brought in to the JMMI staff myself as a part-time dream interpreter. Since being part of the staff and hearing how Apostle Taylor has learned to interpret dreams, my own ability has quickly increased. If you have dreams needing interpretation, you can either send them in online or call in and ask to speak with an interpreter. If one is not available at the time you call, they will return your call.
Miracles Witnessed Personally
Two of the most life changing experiences for me came when I attended the 2015 and 2016 Crusade Against Cancer events in Taylor, Michigan. The first year, I saw with my own eyes, right in front of me, a sixteen year old boy with cerebral palsy get up out of a wheelchair for the first time. The next day, I watched this same boy walk right in front of me pushing his mother in that wheelchair into the building. I don’t know that I’ve heard of anything like this happening in very many other miracle ministries.
The second year, I also saw with my own eyes a teenage girl healed from a deformity in her legs that required her to use a walker. I was up front near the stage when she stood in line to give her testimony of what had just happened. She came up on stage to give a testimony and couldn’t even get the words out because she was crying so hard. This girl explained how she had been mocked at school because of her condition but on that night, she was now beginning to walk on her own. Again, I saw these both right in front of me – in person!
At the bottom of this article is a very short clip of this girl in a promotional video for an upcoming event; see also photos of her from a screen capture on a video rebroadcast:
Face to face is the new movement across the entire world right now – this is the “new wineskin“. I can validate this myself from a dream that I had one year ago where I saw that God was showing me I was at that time still operating in the “old wineskin” mentality.
JMMI is actively looking for those who want to be part of this global reach to spread the message of face to face all over the world. If you are interested in becoming part of this movement, as I am myself, you can call them and find out more. Also, I recommend calling in every Thursday at 7:00 pm Eastern Time (US) for the weekly 1 Million Man Army Calls.
Response to High Level WarfareAs you might imagine, a miracle ministry of this type with such extensive face to face appearances of Jesus attracts no shortage of attacks from all sorts of people. The devil does not want you to believe in personal visitations by Jesus and many people in the church don’t either. Unfortunately, some church leaders think this is a threat to their status quo and their “empire” rather than renewing their mind to the truth and admitting that they do not know everything.
There will always be negative people of highly questionable character on the internet making videos, devoting entire websites to attacking and accusing teachers who operate in true Biblical ministry. Bill Johnson, Randy Clark, Kim Clement and lots more have also come under such attacks. If you are going to take sides with such people, you need to understand exactly who they really are and what their real agenda is. See this video response to a recent (2016) social media attack:
