Information Operations: Spiritual Parallels With Global Events & Agendas

Regardless of what country you live in, as long as you’re paying attention to events in the news, you’re probably aware that there’s a major war going on in the realm of opposing viewpoints. This clashing of polar-opposite beliefs and systems of thinking is particularly obvious inside the United States at this time and it’s playing out inside the government, media, educational institutions and many other aspects of society. These wars are taking place primarily in the realm of information and the primary weapons used are the platforms that transmit and disseminate the opposing ideologies.

Not much of what I just said is new right? Probably not. What most people are focused on in all these battles is what’s visible in the natural realm. But that’s not where these battles have originated. What’s really going on here transcends the level of politics or sociology.

There are spiritual parallels that should be understood from multiple levels and angles. What I want to do here is to look first at what we see in the natural, and then in the spiritual and show something from the spiritual warfare realm that is not well known.

Military Warfare

Let’s start with what is most familiar here, especially to myself since this is my own career background: military warfare. Most of us are familiar with all the modern physical weapons of war at the level of hardware we see in the news. Aircraft, ships, tanks, missiles, guns, etc. These are the hardware, but that is not necessarily where the most consequential results are obtained. These weapons produce the biggest visual effect, but that’s not always the level where wars begin or end.

The same is true in the spiritual realm. What you observe with the natural eye is only the surface, and at this level, you’re not seeing very much. The real war is going on at a deeper level – the mind. And that’s where we’re going here…the realm of information and the war that takes place there, in the natural and spiritual arenas.

Information Operations

According to a US military publication referenced below, the term “information operations” means the integrated use of electronic, computer and psychological means, including the use of deception, to “influence, disrupt, corrupt or usurp adversarial human and automated decision making.” This is how wars are fought above the level of hardware, where ideologies and beliefs are more important than observable physical effects. The other term for all this is psychological warfare.

What IO means in plain language is that there are multiple avenues available to an organization that wants to actively program the minds of masses of people. Television, radio, internet (especially social media), printed magazines and newspapers, talking figure heads planted in strategic positions like college universities and business leaders can all be part of these categories listed above.

Global Perspective – Patterns Repeat!

Regardless of what you think about end times prophecy, you can’t deny there has been a repeated attempt by nations and rulers to take control over the entire world since the days of the tower of Babel. Those who study eschatology know that there is coming some form of a one world government that controls everything, including financial transactions. If we look back at history, this really is nothing new. Alexander the Great, Rome, Hitler, Hirohito, Osama bin Ladin and many more have all tried to gain control over as much of the world as they could.

Personally, I’m not a really big history expert but you don’t have to be in order to understand how global takeover has been attempted many times going all the way back to the tower of Babel. This world take over thing is nothing new and is to be expected again at some point for those who are unfortunately still here. So if this is where things are headed, then it should be no surprise that there are organizations and individuals that are actively trying to accomplish all that right now.

Primary Tactic – Deception

With the use of modern technology, what used to be a physical battle for geographic territory has become a war based on the infiltration of social and governmental institutions with ideologies that are made on the surface to look like wonderful utopian (naive) solutions. If you go back to the top of this article, notice how the term “deception” is a big part of the definition of information operations.

The use of false information based on half-truths to program the minds of susceptible people is the goal of the current global takeover agendas. Many of these make use of twisted up Biblical concepts where verses are taken out of context and forced to fit an ideology. But this also is not new!

And the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

Deception by the misleading use of facts and half truths has been the main tactic of satan for the last 6,000 years since Adam and Eve. Go back to the quote above from JP 3-13, “influence, disrupt, corrupt or usurp adversarial human and automated decision making.” Truth can be used to accomplish an agenda of total lies if it is transmitted with an impure agenda. Satan deceived Eve with a half truth. She accepted what he said as truth and allowed it to override what God had said previously. Deception by use of half truths is also not anything new.

By the way, I thought it would be interesting to note the odd coincidence with the numbers above in bold font.

Question Everything

With advances in technology, many things can now be faked including photos and videos… Are you have to do is look at Hollywood – using the technology available today, pretty much anything can be made to look real. In end times prophecy, we see possibly an entire statue (not just a photo) being “brought to life”.

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

The below Strong’s Concordance reference is taken from the word “image” above and suggests a possible statue, not just a photographic image. If the direction of our modern technology is the ability to produce a statue that has all the signs and evidence of “life”, that should be enough basis right now for you to begin actively questioning everything you see in the news.

If you believe in and jump on everything broadcast in the news, all you’re doing is making yourself a willing slave in the game played by very high-level manipulators (globalists). Do your own homework and do not leap to assumptions. Especially when it’s something you’ve seen on TV. We all should know better than that by now. Active engagement requires us to do more work – and that right there is why most people don’t do it. It’s simply much easier to believe everything.

Defeat Your Adversary: Stop and Think

Questioning and doing your own homework requires extra time. And that also is a strategy of the devil – hurry up, don’t think, just react, just play the game. Again, go back to JP 3-13 above…one of the the goals of information warfare is to interfere with and disrupt your thinking process.

Go back to the example of Adam and Eve – based on the Biblical account, it seems they didn’t think very long before biting the fruit – they just went ahead and did it. And here we all are today.

This is why I harp on the verse below so much! Stop and think. Consider a matter from many different angles before you arrive at a conclusion. Only looking at a matter from one side gives you very little information – you have no idea what a thing will look like from a different view!

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Spiritual Warfare at the Satanic Level

Everything I’ve just described here can be described as “Satanic warfare”. It is not the same as what many of us have become used to in the realm of “demonic warfare”. I don’t want to get into this any further here but for the sake of a preview into the below product recommendation, let me say just a little bit more…

From Adam to Jesus, we see satan’s ability to repeat what he did in the Garden of Eden by the use of subtle deception through the use of half-truths. Satan’s strategy is subtle; that’s why we see him using the snake in Genesis. Satan does not come in with bold displays like what we see with demons. There’s a complete difference in how they each operate. If you’ve never done a serious study on the characteristics of satan, start with these verses here: Ezekiel 28:11-17.

Those like myself with military background understand the absolute requirement to know the tactics and strategies of the enemy. We know that our success in battle is based on having the upper hand on the capabilities of our adversary. This is why all branches of the military have their own dedicated intelligence gathering and analysis organizations. Part of the job of those in this field is to research, analyze and train on what the enemy is up to at any given time. Intelligence failures have historically been the cause of many losses.

For any nation or military to have little to no knowledge of the tactics, procedures, methods and capabilities of their enemies is to ensure a very short lifespan. The same applies in the spiritual realm! You must know your enemy.

Wrap Up

Information Operations may be a modern term or concept but it’s origin goes all the way back to Satan’s strategy to wipe out the human race. Deception and the means to produce that has been his primary tactic for 6,000 years since Adam. What we see in the news and geopolitical events is just the evidence of his working behind the scenes to bring about his desired end state as is seen in end times prophecy. Patterns repeat throughout the history of mankind. As Solomon tells us – there is nothing new under the sun! (Ecclesiastes 1:9)
