As many of you know by now, I do not have a traditional ministry background. In fact, I never planned to be involved with anything that resembled the word ministry ever in my life. My foundational training is as a former 20-year military officer and service academy graduate which I have spoken of in my recent videos. God called me to serve in the military and validated that calling many times during my 20 years. Following that, He then unexpectedly called me to what I now do as seen here on this website.
In the last few years, I’ve begun to notice how much of what goes on in the spiritual realm has natural realm parallels. I’ve written about this in the past here and every now and then, a new insight comes to me that is consistent with this theme. Just recently, I began to see how many of the things I learned and experienced in the military apply directly and equally to God’s training process for operating in His kingdom.
Today, I’m discussing a few of those parallels between how initiation into the military through basic training is actually from God and has Biblical precedents. When you read this, you will notice something very obvious – the kind of thing I’m talking about here is NOT what you experience in 99% of churches and this is most likely going to sound like a culture shock of some type.
Perspective: what’s in this blog will be much more understandable to those who have served in the military and/or live in countries that have mandatory military service (like Israel and many European countries). For those who have not – you’ll need to consider the fact that you may have been programmed by teaching that emphasizes personal comfort which is really mostly about the flesh and self.
We Are God’s Army
If you want to enter into the Kingdom of God and operate as a king, there is a process you must go through and unfortunately, most of the time, you never hear about this. That is why we hardly ever see anyone with true kingdom results in their life. And Jesus expressly commanded us to seek first the kingdom, not the church!
Let me start off by saying that the Bible clearly states that we who follow Jesus are part of an army and that we must endure the same conditions as those who wear a uniform in a military service. Part of the reason for the harshness of military basic training is that it tears down your “civilian” attitude and mindset and forces you to learn “the good order and discipline of the armed forces“.
What we learn in this very strict training environment is that we must obey authorities that are put in place – and nowhere in that training does it say our submission to authority is based on whether or not we like the person who has been put in charge!
I’ve noticed even more lately that you hardly ever find people in churches that have this strict attitude and mindset of honor towards those in spiritual authority. Basic military training is about putting to death the selfish, out of order and undisciplined attitudes that cause dissension and breaking of ranks which leads to disorder and ultimately mission failure. Just as you cannot have a military organization made up of immature whining selfish brats, you cannot have a spiritual army that operates in God’s power like that either.
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 2:3 (NKJV)
For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
Romans 8:13 (NKJV)
God is a God of order and discipline – nowhere do you see anything in the Bible to the contrary! In fact, right from the beginning, we see God’s first mass communication to His people is with Moses and the Israelites and what does He do? He gives a list of commandments which are standards of behavior and then a subsequent list of rules of right and wrong (Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy). When you turn to the pages of the New Testament, you see Jesus also giving instructions on how to live and then again in the epistles, are many very clear instructions by Peter, Paul and others.
Key Fact: You can’t have a victory without a battle. You can’t have a correction without a confrontation – and much of that is with your own self. Many of the battles you will have will come from your own flesh that will rise up and resist anything that God is trying to get you to die to. Until you put to death your own flesh nature, you cannot receive a crown as a king and operate in authority yourself.
Austere Training & Strict Discipline is God’s Idea
One of the top ways we are trained in the military to learn discipline is by harsh communication in the form of being yelled at and forced to go through austere and rigorous physical and mental training routines. We also learn about laws conduct that contain directives to instruct us on how to act as military service men and women. One such example is the Code of Conduct for Members of the United States Armed Forces. If you ask me, if churches taught these types of things to their congregation, you’d see far less of the kind of nonsense I’ve seen when I deal with certain audiences here on my blog.
God’s kingdom and your status as a king requires that you conduct yourself with maturity and submit to spiritual authority in the form of men and women called to leadership positions! Any behavior contrary to this puts you in the status of an immature child who is unfit to carry out God’s instructions and commands and then to receive and exercise your own authority. Jesus plainly taught on this type of required discipline and even said that satan’s kingdom also operates on the exact same principles!! (Luke 11:14-28)
In the military, promotion to higher ranks is partly dependant on your ability to follow orders and submit to higher ranking officers. If you cannot submit to authority yourself, you can never be given your own authority – this is exactly what the entire story of David and Saul illustrates! And, just like with the military – it does not matter whether or not you like the person God has established in these positions – and it is not up to you to “vote” in or out any of them!
In case you’re wondering where you can find this concept in the Bible – it is in these verses below that speak about God chastening us and even how it is a matter of apostolic and kingdom authority to correct and rebuke any out of order behaviors. Any time you see a person acting in a way that resists authority and refuses to submit to and honor those in leadership positions, it reveals a person with a Luciferian spirit.
Lucifer rebelled against God’s authority and God cast him out. The military does not tolerate insubordinate behavior and it is not tolerated in God’s kingdom either. This type of conduct in the military results in things like reduction in rank, Article 15 punishment and court martials – all of which lead to be thrown out of the military!
This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,
Titus 1:13 (NKJV)
Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed;
Galatians 2:11 (NKJV)
Strict Training Produces Required Mindset & Character
All throughout the Bible, we see there is a major war going on between two kingdoms – God’s and the devil’s. God allows satan to operate here on earth but it is our requirement as kings to make war against and cast out every attempt by the devil to set up his reign. A church is God’s house and in a house you do not have (or should not have) wars being fought. A house is a comfortable place. And that is not what a kingdom is.
Kings and kingdoms fight wars and in order to do that, you must have the characteristics necessary to win these battles. A warrior must have a tough mind and be able to endure hard conditions (see verses again above). The lack of this type of training in churches has led to weak minded sissies that run and hide in fear and make excuses every time a satanic attack comes – partly in the form of evil laws being made by government leaders and social media lies being spread to attack those in ministry.
The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion.
Proverbs 28:1 (NKJV)
But unless you go through a strict training process and become a king, you are not capable of fighting battles and overthrowing anything the devil has set up – not in your own life and not in your region. Strict training produces the kind of characteristics needed in God’s kingdom. The more I’ve learned the true kingdom teaching, the more I see how the military training I’ve experienced directly relates! Weakness is wickedness – strength and boldness is righteousness.
Joshua made war a long time with all those kings. There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, except the Hivites, the inhabitants of Gibeon. All the others they took in battle.
Joshua 11:18-19 (NKJV)
It happened in the spring of the year, at the time when kings go out to battle,…
2 Samuel 11:1a (NKJV)
Key Fact: kings are required to take over territory cast out devils – exactly as Jesus commanded us to do.
Lead By Example – A Military & Kingdom Mandate
As with many of the above parallels between the natural and spiritual military / kingdom concepts, there is another one that Jesus expressly taught although it is hardly known by most. It is a kingdom principle that you must do according to what you teach and in the military, we were taught that it is wrong for a leader to ask his subordinate to do something that he would not do himself.
Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:19 (NKJV)
Having said that, everything I write in this blog, I have had to go through the process of experiencing and learning all this myself – both in the military and in God’s kingdom. Some of it was not easy and my four decades of church programming was not at all helpful to be perfectly honest. But I did it anyway.
I’ve had to fix my own character flaws and attitudes and God has corrected me in dreams which I have written and spoken about here. I am very familiar with God’s chastening and correcting and you should be also. If you have not also experienced this, you need to be concerned – as the verse below states, unless you are being corrected by God, you are not one of His!! It is on the basis of God’s love that He corrects and rebukes us.
And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.”
Hebrews 12:5-6 (NKJV)
Social Media Posture
If you are connected with me on any of my social media accounts, you’ll see that I will at times go on a blitz posting all sorts of messages in “basic training” style. This is usually the result of my getting on periscope and having several thousands of viewers, and it never fails that there are a number of people displaying attitudes like a two year old childish immature whining pharisee. Right… someone needs to say it.
I have to just tell it like it is – some of the church people I’ve dealt with have been of the lowest quality audience that I get communicating with me through this blog site. So every time I start to see these behaviors and attitudes creep up, be sure that I am going to go right back to the basics here and the military training that God put me through is going to start showing up in very public ways.
Four years ago, God called me to be part of (on the staff of) the biggest global kingdom ministry on the planet and we are strictly trained according to what I am posting here. If you want to be a king in God’s kingdom, you must go through the same training process. I am of course referring again to Joshua Media Ministries International and Apostle David E. Taylor. See the image below for an entire list of all Kingdom of God training resources which I have learned from myself!

NOTE: For those who have chosen to believe the garbage and lies and false accusations made up by evil perverts on social media about JMMI – I have this to say…
NOT ONE TIME has God ever said anything negative to me about David E. Taylor or his teaching. Not once!! In contrast, God has repeatedly VALIDATED Apostle Taylor and his teaching to me many times, especially in my dreams!!
Kingdom culture applies – I will never tolerate out of order and dishonoring behavior here on my website or my social media.
