WOLF: Ignoring Warning Dreams Will Cost You Severely

Around August 20, 2014, I had a dream where I was in a parked car facing some trees. Out the front window I saw a wolf up in a tree directly ahead of me.  Immediately, the wolf ran down the tree and came right at me at full speed as I was sitting in the car.  As soon as it reached the front left of my car, all the windows instantly were covered by what seemed like black form-fitting sun shades that I could not see thru.  All I could see was the inside of the car and it felt like something very bad – like I was sealed in the car unable to get out.  It was not until mid-November of the same year, that this dream became a reality in my life and it was just as bad as the imagery made it look.

Symbology

“ Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits…
(Matthew 7:15-16 NKJV)

Wolves are always very negative signs and you don’t need to look very far in the Bible to find out what it means.  A simple word search in something like BibleGateway.com will turn up many results that prove my point.  A parked car is an indication of a life going nowhere.  Cars or other vehicles in dreams are supposed to be moving because your life is supposed to be “going somewhere”.   A car represents your personal life.  Trees are generally people but a wolf up high in a tree adds detail which tells us that this particular tree is actually a person in leadership.

Here’s What Really Happened

I was a member of an organization that I never felt totally comfortable about but I believed strongly that I needed to be there for certain reasons which I will omit.  However, there were some very significant issues with the leadership there that I did not agree with at all.  I’ll simply say that the leadership set a tone that was not very positive and most people in this organization followed after the leadership.  The longer I stayed there, the worse things got for me and a major breaking point was quickly approaching.

Well, in November 2014, I decided that I needed to ask someone in leadership for help in a certain personal situation which they were very capable of helping with.  Instead of  receiving the help I requested, I received basically a slap in the face and very harsh words which led me to believe there was a high degree of gossip taking place behind the scenes and some of it involved me.  I was in total disbelief over the harshness of this person’s comments to me.  Two weeks later, I realized that this was the dream from August and I had just been attacked by a wolf.   My next thought was that I hope I never become a wolf in someone else’s dream.

Timing Clue?

Backing up to August when I received this dream, I knew it was telling me something very bad (as I indicated at the top) but I had no idea what to do with it.   I can’t say I ignored the dream but despite my effort to figure it out, I was totally at a loss over what it meant.  As time went on, it slowly faded into the back of my memory.

Here is where we are going to see how God speaks to us in terms that we are personally familiar with.  I have spent many years flying airplanes as a pilot and instructor and God knows well that I am very aware of how to use the clock to describe directions relative to the position of the aircraft.  When a radar controller tells a pilot that he has “traffic at nine o’clock”, that means there is another aircraft near him directly to his left and he needs to watch out for it.  Pilots superimpose the clock onto the aircraft so that 12:00 is directly ahead, 3:00 is to the right, 6:00 directly behind, and so on…  In this dream, the windows went black when the wolf reached the 11:00 position (front-left of the car).  Had I known what to do with this dream and understood what appears to be the symbology of timing, I would have known that the dream which I had in August was foretelling a real incident which would happen in November (the 11th month of the year).  This is an astounding statement of how God knows the future in such exact detail and is able to tell us about it well in advance.

So what was the black windows thing all about?  To be perfectly honest, as soon as this incident happened, I became very angry to the point where I couldn’t “see anything” except my own anger.  Within two weeks of this incident, I chose to discontinue my membership in this organization and I never returned again.

What’s In This For You?

Ok, big picture:  this was an incident at an organization that I was free to either join or leave at my own will.  What happened was not insignificant by any means but it was not the same as having a dream warning me of physical death or serious accident.  Take a look at this website link for Joshua Media Ministries and go to their dreams page.  See how certain popular people in history were warned in a dream of their planned murder and how they ignored the warning.  I hope my own dream plus what is on that site will prove my point:  you MUST NOT ignore warning dreams.

Takeaways:

  • God will warn you in a dream or a strong impression about a situation in the near future that will cause you serious harm if you ignore it
  •  You do not even have to be a born-again believer in Jesus to receive a warning dream; God is still trying to get your attention while you still have time left in this life to turn to Him
  • When a prophetic dream comes to fulfillment, it proves that God is who the Bible says He is and further underscores that He is good and not an angry tyrant and He wants what is truly best for you
  • Understanding dreams require study on your part and are not to be thrown away as “silly” or “meaningless”
  • If you believe you have received a warning dream, go to my Dreams and Prophetic page and send me a description of it so I can help you determine what the message is and how to take appropriate action to avoid a serious disaster in your life
