Here’s a topic that has come up several times in emails I’ve received from those asking me to interpret their dreams. Today’s article will help you if you’ve had dreams of your grandparent’s house, your childhood house (or even your own) that has a very negative, old, broken down or dark appearance to it. I’ll tell you what is usually the cause of such dreams, but… more importantly, the solution!

Houses In Dreams?

Before we get started, I need to set the context by pointing to several previous blogs I’ve posted about the meaning of a house in dreams. If you haven’t seen these, I recommend that now because it gives the Biblical foundational basis needed to understand today’s topic and for the sake of efficiency, it doesn’t make sense to repeat it again…

Once you understand what’s in those two above, you can more easily get the idea of what it means when you see these settings in a very negative or dark scene. Because we are primarily dealing with the setting of your grandparent’s or parent’s house, I need to highlight the fact that these are now specifically dealing with things in your past, including your ancestors.

Generational Curses Are Very Prevelant

For starters, almost all of us have inherited spiritual garbage from our previous generations. I don’t want this to sound like I’m going after anyone specifically because we all must deal with what was handed down to us. Very rarely will we find ourselves in a family that did any spiritual house-cleaning for us.

In many cases, there are very negative things in our past that we don’t even know about. Unless we go through a process of deliverance, there is spiritual garbage that will pop up at some point unexpectedly or in the lives of our children. Living in ignorance of your past is very foolish and detrimental.

Some of what has been handed down to us may go back 4-5 generations (or more), and often you will see the clues show up in dreams about your grandparents. This is how it’s been with me and I’ve got a long list of such dreams, primarily from one side of the family.

Generational Curses Are In The Category Of Iniquity

What I’m talking about here is known in the Bible as “iniquity“. These are very deep rooted sins that you cannot get rid of by a simple prayer – these often require a process that involves extensive timelines. God does not necessarily reveal everything to us all at once because it would be too hard for us to handle. Most of the time, we get partial glimpses of what’s hiding in our lineage spread out over many dreams.

The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.

Numbers 14:18 (KJV)

The above word “iniquity” is h5771, ‘âôn; and means: perversity, depravity, iniquity, guilt or punishment, guilt (as great), consequence of or punishment for iniquity (Strong’s Concordance). It is the most pervasive form of sin and is often portrayed in dreams of a stain in your clothing that you cannot easily get out.

It is not my intention to get into a long explanation of generational curses because that is a very long topic. Instead, I am recommending a fairly comprehensive and relatively short book that I read several months ago. The book below is by Bob Larson, who I mentioned previously this year in a video I did about “aliens”.

The book explains the most important points about generational curses and includes a very detailed section in the back on specific prayers you can pray to be delivered from whatever might be in your lineage. Related to this, I have also listed several other excellent books on my store page on the courtroom of heaven which you may need at some point.

Dreams Of Generational Curses

One of the most recent dreams of my own generational curses came by surprise that a friend had about me. In the dream, I was being told that my previous generations practiced Freemasonry. In real life, I had no knowledge that anyone actually did this but I used the Bob Larson book below to make sure I dealt with it anyway.

What I do know very well about my family is that both sides (mother and father) were strict Catholics and I found out (greatly disturbing) earlier this year that the Vatican has deep roots with the illuminati (Freemasons – a satanic cult). They have, for hundreds of years, practiced human and child sacrifice especially in underground tunnels (DUMBs) where human cloning has also been a standard practice since the 1950’s. In addition to my friend’s dream, I have had my own in previous years that took place in the setting of my grandmother’s house and revealed negative character traits that I needed to get freed from. In the context of those dreams, a grandparent represents your family lineage, especially on that side of the family (specifically).

A Basic & Ugly Fact About Iniquities

In most cases, the flaws God was showing me in the dream were the kind that were programmed in BEFORE birth – if I were to tell you my entire personal life history, I could prove this is true. This is also important for you because some of the ways you act is not completely “your fault”. Yes, we are responsible for our behavior, and yes we are still required to clear these iniquities.

Think about this way… if you do not clear these curses and iniquities yourself now, you are doing the same thing your grandparents did to you by dumping all their sins on you. By failing to do the work yourself and clear these, you are now forcing your children to live the same screwed up way you have and they will pay the same (or greater) price that you have. That is exactly how it was with me.

There are also positive meanings of a grandparent’s house in a dream so I don’t want you to think these are all negative. I’ve had several very positive dreams with this same grandmother’s house setting, including the one I’ll tell below. Thankfully, as you’ll see, after several years of a process of deliverance (by various means), I recently had a most amazing and positive dream showing God had answered a recent prayer to be set free of anything else that was remaining in my previous generations.

Dreams Of Deliverance & House Cleaning – Positive Results!

Now it’s time for the part you all want… when God shows you that your lineage has been cleaned out and you are free from certain iniquities and curses. The entire purpose of this blog is not just to tell you about generational curses and that you have to go through a process of deliverance. No. The purpose of this blog is to show you that you CAN get results and what that might look like in a dream.

The dream I’m telling below came as one of the fastest answers I’ve ever received to a prayer. It was only 24-48 hours after I began asking God to clear out anything from my past generations that was still causing me problems. I asked this right as I began strictly observing the 3-6 AM early morning prayer time as I wrote about recently. Here’s the dream…

August 31, 2021 – I’m upstairs in my grandmother’s house and the rooms are all cleared out including a big drawer under a couple extra guest beds. I was saying how I had never seen one area cleared out before near the stairs (a big room that isn’t in the real house). One of my brothers is walking thru the rooms talking to a relative maybe about other things in the house. (This dream came only a few minutes after going back to sleep immediately after 3-6 AM early morning prayer time).

The house being all cleared out represents getting rid of negative things that were stored up for many generations. This would be the same as if you did an entire house cleaning and got rid of old things from the past (such as old furniture, old books, antiques, etc), so you can make room to buy something new. In my dream, every square foot of the house was completely cleaned out!

The new room that I had never seen before (which does not exist in that real life house) represents God giving me an enlargement and bringing positive things from my lineage that I did not know were there. This is also something I had asked for in my prayer. I’ve had a very strong conviction for several years now that I would make up for my entire family ancestry that unfortunately failed to go after God diligently and fulfill their life purpose as He intended.

The brother and relative walking through the house, talking about the clean out was basically a symbol of God walking through and showing me what had been accomplished. These two people have additional meanings but for the sake of this blog, I’ll just leave it at the simple level for now (a more complete explanation is in my new 50+ common dreams ebook – see below).

Here are the Bible verses that connect with my dream…

Strongly Recommended Book…

That’s as far as I want to go on our topic today because, while this does not give you every single fact about generational curses, or how to get rid of them, this is a huge starting point that you need. Also, for everything that I could not possibly include in this blog, I make a very strong recommendation that you get this book below by Bob Larson. This is one very good way to get started on personal deliverance and if you feel the need to, as you read it, include a friend or spiritually mature person who can help you go through the content.

From my observation as I read the book, I noticed there were several prayers (in the back section) that I needed to speak out loud repeatedly until I got a feeling that the problem had been resolved, or that the required process had begun. I recommend you do the same! Do not take what is in this book casually! You must be deliberate and you must be honest with yourself! Anything less will get you nowhere and you will stay exactly as you were before.

As I did what I just described, I had a very clear sense upon completion of the book, that something had taken place spiritually and that I had advanced in my own process of deliverance from generational curses and iniquities. Read this as many times as you need to until you see results and you start getting dreams where God proves to you that you have now been delivered from the sins passed down to you from your ancestors.
