Too Much Waiting & Don’t Know What To Do Next?! (Read This)

If you are following God’s plan for your life, you will notice there are times when you need to shut down everything and take a break. That’s been the case for me in the last few months and I even had a short dream validating the reason behind why it seems nothing is happening lately. If you are in a similar situation as myself, and you feel like you have done everything you can think of but yet still nothing is happening, this short blog and a recent dream will help you get a sense of what’s with the extremely long waiting periods. Included here are very practical (and supernatural) activities you can begin that will change your life and cause you to get incredible results from this time that otherwise may result in total boredom.

Here is a new podcast episode I recorded which also brings back my original channel now on Spotify and several other podcast platforms…

Here is my dream from a few months ago that points to a teaching I will refer to below that explains exactly what is going on when you feel like everything in your life went completely flatlined…

Dream: The Last Step In The Process

August 31, 2023 – Joe (a house builder and home remodeler) is sitting on front steps at a house I previously lived at with a dog sitting next to him. Looks like he’s finished working on the house and now he’s just sitting there waiting for his ride.

Real Life Context

During most of this year, 2023, I have been in a very long period of waiting for what I thought was supposed to begin when I left on a very long and far away journey. Instead of getting what I was expecting (a huge amount of money to start my global tech business), I ended up in the opposite situation – living off almost nothing for an entire year. Not only did this make me very confused but also very angry.

I had already been through years of going down to nothing financially where I was thrown into a steep learning curve of everything related to God’s ancient process within the Kingdom of God. Going into an even more extreme version of that was NOT what I had been expecting at all. I’ve already explained most of this in my ebooks and blogs so I’ll omit that here.

While following the teachings of my parent ministry, KOGGC / David E. Taylor, it was during this past summer that I began hearing new teachings that put everything into perspective. The teaching was about the last step of the process after we have done all we can do in our part in walking out God’s plan for our life. That last step, as I alluded to above, is something we absolutely hate to hear (especially for a task focused person like myself) – patience and waiting.

Below is the verse highlighted in the teaching where it was explained that our last step in the process requires that patience must have its perfect work in us (where perfection means to become mature – not perfect morally).

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

James 1:2-4 (KJV)

Practical & Supernatural Ways To Use The Time Wisely

What I found out myself is that this last step of extremely long waiting may include periods of total boredom when you feel like you’re wasting your time and accomplishing nothing. As I said above, I am a very task focused person and, more than anything, I like to see on a daily basis that I am getting things done. Being forced to sit and accomplish nothing at all is something I have a VERY hard time with. Having said that, there are things we can do during those times when it seems like we are doing nothing more than staring out the window watching the sun go from one end of the sky to the other.

Speaking from experience, there are practical and supernatural things you can do to make sure you’re not actually wasting the time God has given you while you’re in the last phase of the process. I had to learn this myself, and it was rather difficult. I am by nature, very task focused, and I absolutely hate sitting around feeling like I’m not accomplishing anything every day.

Here are some of the things I learned to do during this very long waiting period…

#1 – Switch your focus to a completely different activity. For me, that meant spending a lot of time developing my skills as a digital artist and regaining my former pilot skills. This seemed rather strange because it is not a spiritual task and it did not necessarily have direct links to my God-given assignment with the energy tech invention. Having said that I created a ton of digital art, which I then posted on a website where I sell all my artwork. There may be a new skill you can also develop that will lead you to some form of new prosperity – whether directly related to your calling or indirectly. In my case, digital art skills are required for my energy tech invention because of the amount of sketching I had to for the device design.

#2 – Focus on developing character issues, which are extremely important to God, primarily humility, and meekness. I’ve been learning that meekness is required to inherit wealth, but humility is required to maintain it. The way I grew up and some of my training in my previous career, I didn’t have very much of either of these traits, so the extremely long times of waiting definitely gave me the opportunity to improve greatly in these areas.

#3 – If you have a business calling as I do, switch your focus to spiritual things rather than business matters. That may be very difficult to get your mind going in a different direction but once you do, you might find it is equally hard to switch back again to natural world business matters. Remember, I wrote an ebook called “The Supernatural Science of Reaching Your God-Given Purpose (Version 1.2)” In that ebook I explain a little of operating in two realms – supernatural and natural. If you don’t have that yet, check that link and see what I learned during the last few years of this process. There’s a lot that will help you understand more than what I can put into this one blog.

#4 – Focus on developing faith and patience (as the verse above says). In my ebooks, I use secular movies that have Biblical themes in them. In one of those ebooks, I highlighted how God used one of the earlier Star Wars movies to present a Biblical illustration of faith (Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back). In that movie, Yoda is trying to teach Luke exactly what Jesus said in Mark 11:23. Most people in the church (including myself at first) missed the point of this teaching by dumbing it down to nothing more than an allegory and symbolism. If you read the explanation in my Marvel Dreams Revelation ebook, you will find out why this teaching was in fact a literal instruction by Jesus to develop your faith to the point where you can literally move things physically. If you are to do this, you will at first find it equally as difficult (or impossible) as what Luke experienced in that movie segment. Therefore, you must learn to use the extreme times of waiting to do exactly as that movie illustrated (again… see my ebook, this will make A LOT more sense!)

#5 – Find the best and most detailed Bible teachings available (as God leads you) and spend hours listening (or reading) them. In my case, I prefer Biblical teachings that go beyond revelation and into mystery levels. If you are not familiar with my parent ministry, there are very long (and ongoing) series of teachings that go straight into mystery level Bible teachings and explain things you will never hear anywhere else. If you would like to learn more about that, check out this blog I wrote over a year ago about one such series that is still ongoing today: An Oncoming Event: A Dream Of A Black Older-Style Train & A City Center.

Action!

Ok, so this is the conclusion of my list (for now) of what you can do practically during times when it seems nothing is happening. Remember, there are reasons for what seems like endless delays where you feel like you are in a sailboat in the middle of a huge lake and the wind is not blowing. These are times when you CAN accomplish things that will be necessary for your calling, assignment and purpose.

As with my own example, I have had to do what seems like unusual and seemingly irrelevant activities during the last several months. But, in this time, I have worked on all the things I’ve listed above and I have seen much fruit being produced during those times (and even had several dreams proving that!)

I hope this post has proven helpful to you – for more on this and many other topics, check out my resource section below and contact me if you have dreams you would like interpreted. Thank you very much for reading and supporting my work!
